  • Mark van Leewarden

    Founder & MD

    Mark went undercover in the New Zealand Police at age 20. He quickly infiltrated an organized crime operation, resulting in numerous serious crime convictions, including murder. He went on to become a detective investigating all types of criminal conduct. Mark graduated with an honors degree in law before founding Warden Consulting in 1995. He practises as a barrister, and working across all aspects of the business, he has traced, frozen and distributed assets back to clients in Asia, Europe and The Americas.

  • Ben van Leewarden

    General Manager

    Ben Van Leeuwarden is a licensed private investigator with over 8 years’ experience in international fraud, cryptocurrency-related investigations, due diligence, and workplace investigations. Based in Mexico City, he leads Warden Consulting’s Mexico operations and brings international experience from operating the business in Amsterdam, New York, and London. Ben holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) from Victoria University of Wellington.

  • Pablo Rivera

    Investigating Lawyer

    Pablo is an investigating lawyer supporting Warden Consulting across litigation support, due diligence, and investigative engagements, combining legal analysis with structured, evidence-led execution. Based in Mexico City and trained at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), he holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) and contributes to cross-border matters through fact development, legal writing, and strategic case positioning.

  • Andrea Tomba

    Operations

    Andrea holds a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from the University of Westminster and a master’s degree from the London School of Economics (LSE). Fluent in Italian, French, Swedish, English, and Spanish, and based in Mexico for the past 25 years, he supports high-stakes litigation matters through cross-border case coordination, source development, and on-the-ground support.

  • Dennis Parsons

    Consultant

    Dennis is an expert forensic accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE, USA), and licensed insolvency practitioner (NZ) who has conducted hundreds of forensic accounting investigations involving companies and individuals across both civil and criminal matters. He also provides expert advice and consulting support to government agencies on investigations and related regulatory issues.

  • Alexandria J. Misch

    Investigative Research Lead

    Alexandria is a seasoned researcher, reporter, interviewer, and digital analyst having worked for over a decade as a journalist based in New York City. She specializes in a fact-and-data-based understanding of the inner-workings of employee-employer relations, local contract and labor laws, as well as organized influence over policy commitments and agendas. Alexandria holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc/BSA).

    Project Manager

    Ale is our Project Manager, overseeing cross-functional teams and timelines across active matters. She coordinates clients, partners, and operational teams to keep deliverables on track—managing budgets, logistics, and quality control with sharp attention to detail.

    James Cunningham MA (Hons), PG. Dip. Clin Psych, MNZCCP, MASSBI, MINS brings over two decades of expertise in clinical psychology. James specializes in agent oversight and the assessment of psychological wellness, functionality and maximizing potential of our covert agents.

  • Ainsley Bisset

    Operations

    Ainsley began her career in policing, serving in Diplomatic Protection where she supported the security of high-profile dignitaries and public figures. At Warden, she is in charge of HR and people-operations responsibilities, including recruitment support, onboarding and staff welfare.

  • Denise Graham

    Office Manager

    Denise is Warden’s Office Manager and has been with the firm since 2006. She oversees the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring matters run smoothly across teams and jurisdictions. Denise joined Warden following a long and varied career in the legal sector, bringing deep administrative and court-facing experience to the role.

Baja Off-Road Racing

Mark and Ben Van Leeuwarden started competing in off-road racing in Baja in 2019, winning first in class in their inaugural race at the NORRA 1000. In 2023 Warden Consulting stepped up to a 750hp Class 8 race truck which gained the moniker “La Pirata”. Mark and Ben finished 3rd in their first race with her at the NORRA 500.
